Manitobah Ad Series

I created a 3-part ad campaign for Manitobah to showcase the artistry behind the products they create. I started this campaign from the beginning with a discovery meeting with the Manitobah team, built a creative brief and a big idea, then prepared ad mock-ups.

Problem

One of Manitobah's biggest unique selling points is the artistry and the artists behind the products they make. But with a lot of their advertising, especially for holiday campaigns, they only focus on the products. 

The Big Idea — Discover the artists behind your gifts

 

I wanted to focus on the thing that makes Manitobah products so special — the artists. Learning about the people and the care they put into making these products turns these gifts into something that customers will be proud to purchase and gift to their loved ones.​​​

Behind the Design

​

When finding what products to feature in these ads, I did research to find which ones had direct artist involvement and the artists themselves so I could tell their story. I found a range of product options to feature, keeping in mind many gift givers are working on a budget, and some of the higher priced items may not be an option.

​

The holidays are cozy and warm, and so is the Manitobah brand, so I wanted to showcase that in the designs of the ad, along with the headline "Give Warmth Give Art."​​

Results

These ads were presented to peers and instructors from whom I received positive feedback, and I was gifted $100 from the Manitobah team as a thank you for the inspiration they received from this project.
