Opal Explainer Video

This is a video I created in collaboration with my media production partner Kiana Crouse. The video was made to explain to users how Opal works and how it can help them stay focused.

 

My role in the creation of this video was writing the script and being the creative director on shoot day, while Kiana's role was shooting and editing the video. When researching Opal, I noticed their marketing had a bit of an intense and sassy tone to it, so I made sure to add some of those elements while writing the script but kept it fun and humorous.

 

After completing the video, we had a competition with our classmates to determine who's explainer had the best writing, best production, and who's was best overall. Our Opal video won for best writing out of the 16 explainer videos shown. I also gained attention from members of the Opal team on LinkedIn, who said they had the video on repeat in their office.
